The C-Stage (known as Chuck E.'s House Facade by Corporate) was a house themed stage that was made for Pizza Time Theatre locations as a replacement for the Portrait Stage and the Balcony Stage.
History[]
The C-Stage was first installed in the San Antonio, Texas (Walzem Road) location in 1988. The C-Stage may be named after the big “C” below Chuck E. Cheese on the house. This stage can be thought of as a combination of the Balcony Stage and the Rocker Stage as it seemed to be a variation of the Balcony with the main theme of the Rocker. The characters were made to look like they were on the porch of a white house. Some flowers were also placed below Mr. Munch and Pasqually. Some stores such as Portland, OR had the Balcony Stage nameplates on the stage, and a few others didn't have the "C" on the stage.
The stage began to be phased out in the early 1990s in favor of the Road Stage, 1-Stage, and 2-Stage. In the mid 1990s, Helen Henny’s cosmetics were changed to match her 1990s look and a live stage was placed in front of the stage.
The last C-Stage was at the Tacoma, Washington location, which was removed in 2003. At the time of its removal, Chuck E.’s tuxedo and Munch’s hat were added, and Jasper’s hat was changed to his hat from the 1990s.[1] It was also the last location with Pasqually's squeeze box and a half body Chuck E. Cheese animatronic. The stage was replaced by a 16 movement Studio C Beta, which was removed during 2.0 in 2022.
