Chuck E.'s Make Believe Band (also known as the CU 1-Stage) is a test stage that debuted in September 2010. It was the first new stage created with all five characters since the 1-Stage in March 1993. It features the animatronics and some props from the 3-Stage. This stage was originally planned to be installed in locations that were forced to relocate their showrooms due to remodels / expansions, but it was only been installed in three locations: Whitehall, Pennsylvania (September 2010), Columbus, Georgia (Early 2011), and Springfield, Illinois (late 2011).

Design[]

The stage is rectangular and also has curtains and features. From left to right, the characters are Chuck E. Cheese, Helen Henny, Mr. Munch, Jasper T. Jowls, and Pasqually. Behind them are two television screens with a park background, all under a valence that reads "Chuck E.'s Make Believe Band".

Whitehall, Pennsylvania was the first Chuck E.'s Make Believe Band, with the background being at night, and Chuck E. standing on a black pedestal. It was the only one of the three to feature an Avenger shirt and the Rockstar jeans, and the blue explosion drumhead for Pasqually, as well as lacking Jasper's hat.

Columbus, Georgia was the second to receive the stage. It was the only Chuck E.'s Make Believe Band to be much lower to the ground than its two predecessors, as well as having a unique barrel for Jasper. Pasqually also lacked an apron and had a solid white drumhead.

Springfield, Illinois was the third and final location to receive the stage. It is the last location in Illinois with animatronics. It is also the last location to have Jasper using Beach Bear's guitar and Pasqually's swirl drumhead. Springfield also features Munch's older latex shoes.

The Springfield and Columbus stages had daytime backgrounds, while the Whitehall stage had a nighttime background.

Columbus, Georgia was the first Chuck E.'s Make Believe Band to be removed on April 23rd, 2023 for the 2.0 remodel. Whitehall, Pennsylvania's was removed in July 2023, leaving Springfield as the last Chuck E.'s Make Believe Band in existence. On May 24, 2024, it was announced that CEC decided to save Springfield's animatronics in-store as a permanent showcase of the Chuck E.'s Make Believe Band stage.[1].

On June 11, 2024, the Legacy Location remodel at Springfield began. This included repairs being made to the stage including fixing character movements (most notably Pasqually's arm movements) and enhancing the lights on Munch's keyboard. Parts to fix the show came from retired CEI mechs stored at the SPT Distribution Center in Kansas. Springfield officially reopened as a Legacy Location on July 25, 2024.
