Gerald "Duke" Chauppetta is an American voice actor and musician who provided the voice of Dook LaRue in The Rock-afire Explosion.[1]
He was Dook's only voice actor and voiced Dook from 1980 to the mid 1990s. In the summer of 2016, he voiced Dook once again via email for a commercial. In 2021, he once again voiced Dook via email for a Rock-afire version of the Mystery Science Theater 3000 theme song.
On June 26, 2025, Aaron Fechter announced that Chaupetta would be leaving the role of Dook beginning with the Volo Museum showtape. He cited marital and religous reasons for his departure. Brandon Shepherd was announced to be his successor.[2]
