Helen Henny is a vocalist (formerly tambourine player) and bassist of Munch's Make Believe Band at Chuck E. Cheese's. Although not officially a musician in stage setups, Helen is commonly seen playing either bass or tambourine in most showtapes and artwork. She typically wears a green and black-and-purple cheerleading dress. Helen replaced both Mitzi Mozzarella from ShowBiz Pizza Place, and Harmony Howlette from Pizza Time Theatre. She is still a present member of the band.

Development

When Helen first debuted in 1978, she was a parody of Australian folk singer Helen Reddy, as a guest for the portrait stage. She later appeared, completely redesigned as an old broadway hen, as a guest for the Balcony Stage in 1984. When Showbiz Pizza merged with Pizza Time Theatre in 1984, Helen became the permanent female member.

In 1989, Helen became "Mitzified" to become more appealing to young girls for Concept Unification appearing on more merchandise than any character other than Chuck E. Cheese and Helen's black and white feather-hair became pigtails, and her wrinkled features became softened and she stopped clucking. Helen's ongoing relationship with Chuck began to blossom on and off the stage, becoming a classic running gag among fans. Around 1995, Helen's personality was adjusted a bit by giving her a cheerleader's outfit, a costume that would be used in most locations later on.
