In Australia, "Chuck" means to "throw up" [1]. So, there it was named "Charlie Cheese's Pizza Playhouse". It's location was at Grundy's at Surfer's Paradise, Queensland in March, 1981 and later relocated to Carindale, Australia in 1982. It closed in 1984-1986. In January 2024, it was announced that Chuck E. Cheese would expand their company into Australia yet again. However, the opening date and which cities it will be located in has not been confirmed.
Chuck E. Cheese (Canada)[]
On October 15, 1981, Chuck E. Cheese's began operating restaurants in Canada. Most of the PTT locations would close by 1995, although one is still open in Willowdale, Ontario, making it the last former PTT outside the United States.
As of September 2023, there are currently 10 locations operating in Canada.

Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre (England)[]
In September 1983, in an article of the Pizza Times, PTT's newsletter at the time, a piece of text on page 4 states:
“ | Chuck E. Cheese soon will be adding additional overseas units. Among the locations coming up are Cretail, France [sic] and Ealing, England. Also, an agreement recently was signed by Whimsy Recreation to build two stores in Singapore.[2] | ” |
Chuck E. Cheese's (Japan)[]
In 1998, ShowBiz Pizza Time announced their plans for a Chuck E. Cheese's in Tokyo Japan, to be open by early 1999, after a local franchisee was selected.[3] Aside from articles from the Nihon Keizai Shimbun and AdAge, nothing was heard about after, and it's likely that they did not find a franchisee, and cancelled their plans for Japanese expansion.
Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre (France)[]
Créteil, France was a Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre that opened on April 5, 1984 with a Balcony Stage and closed around 1986.
It was the only Chuck E. Cheese in France, being located at the Creteil Soleil Mall. This location opened with a Balcony Stage, as all other Pizza Time Theatres did. It also had the King in the Lounge, and two Warblettes.[4]

Billy Bob's Pizza Theater was an Australian FEC. It featured similar things that ShowBiz had including the Rock-afire Explosion which they got from Creative Engineering directly. It opened in 1988, located in Knox, Victoria, Australia and closed in late 1993.
ShowBiz Pizza Fiesta (Mexico)[]
ShowBiz Pizza Fiesta was a franchise of ShowBiz Pizza Place in Mexico that had been around since at least 1986.[1] Most locations closed around 1991, and didn’t receive CU. Some locations had the Rock-afire Explosion and later on, the Boomis Pizza Fiesta characters (which were retrofitted Pizza Time Theatre Cyberamics).
There is some information on the Guadalajara locations closing in 1995, which will be looked into. Later on, one of the Guadalajara locations didn't have a good condition stage.

ShowBiz Pizza Place (Middle East/UAE) (Unofficial)[]
There were several unofficial ShowBiz Pizza Place locations in the Middle East, with Kuwait being the original flagship store of which opened in 1989; despite being unofficial, these locations still used the Rock-afire Explosion. One location in the Town Centre Jumeirah in Dubai, U.A.E. operated and closed in the early 2000s, years after all American ShowBiz Pizza Place locations were converted into Chuck E. Cheese's.
쑈·비즈피자전문 (South Korea)[]
In the late 1980's, a likely unofficial ShowBiz Pizza opened in South Korea under the name "쑈·비즈피자전문", using a Rock-Afire Explosion from a US location. Judging by a commercial aired in 1989, it seems that this location may not have had any arcade games. Aside from a single commercial, little to nothing is known about this location.[5]
ShowBiz Pizza Place (Guatemala)[]
There was a former ShowBiz Pizza Place (Plaza in some advertising) location in Guatemala City (Zona 9) that opened in 1986. It received Concept Unification, then relocated in 1995 most likely due to the need to expand and that the area didn't get as much business anymore. It was open as Chuck E. Cheese's until 2016, when it once again relocated, this time to the Concepcion area. The animatronics that were in the former store were relocated to that store and put on display above the beverages area. Until 2010, this location had a separate event area with a 2-stage that was used for birthday parties, events, and live shows.References[]
