The May 1998 Show, or more commonly known as the Studio C Premiere Show, was the show that was used at Chuck E. Cheese's restaurants to introduce audiences to the Studio C concept. It is also one of the two shows where Jeremy Bladio provided the voice of Chuck E. Cheese.
The Show[]
The show was performed in the style of a late night show, as opposed to the regular ' band' format. Instead of performing the songs and skits themselves, Chuck E and the other characters would simply give a brief introduction to the next skit, music video, or segment before the curtains would close. During the "Sports Bloopers", and segments, Chuck E. and his friends would provide a running commentary over the segment in question.
Studio C Version (December 1997)[]
As this was used to introduce the Studio C stage, there were several segments of Chuck E. and Bird showing off the stage's features, from the blue screen to the interactive console. The other characters, (Helen, Munch, Jasper, and Pasqually) were all absent, save for reused sketches (Pondwatch, CEC TV News, and Name the Cheese) from the previous showtape. The reason was, CEC was planning was to phase them out with the introduction of Studio C. Thankfully this was halted by Jeremy Bladio.
Existing Stage Version (May 1998)[]
The show featured all five characters, but like with the Studio C version, they would simply provide a running commentary over the material being shown on the TVs. The dialogue originally given to Bird was given to the other characters, which gave the show a very awkward and stilted feeling,
