These characters had very limited motion, the most movements a character had was 8. By 1981 the shelf was all but dead, as many features were no longer programmed (such as Munch and Pasqually's doors). The last shelf stage was in the Ogden, UT store until 1991 when the store was closed by corporate.

Crusty the Cat, Chuck and maybe Jasper were fixed on flat surfaces, with movable arms, mouths, and eyes. Pasqually was behind a set of closed doors and would pop out to call pizza orders. This was quickly stopped. In the center of the showroom, sitting on a raised platform were the Warbaletes. Jasper even originally played a real banjo but this was quickly dropped because it would damage Jasper. When the 2nd PTT opened, changes were made to the Shelf. Crusty, Chuck E and Jasper were made 3D. The Warballetes were either put in a frame or replaced by the Mopsey sisters, who were 3 singing mops. In November 1978, Crusty was retired and replaced by Mr. Munch. Munch was placed behind 2 closed doors like Pasqually.

In 2015, AJ will make his own Portrait Show called, "Chuck's Rat Pack".

It features Chuck E. Cheese, Jasper T. Jowls, Helen Henny, Crusty the Cat, Mr. Munch, Pasqually, Warblettes (later replaced by The ''[[Singing Flowers]]'') and a guest star.
