Weigl Control is a manufacturer of animatronic, lighting and media controls. Their pro commander series of animatronic controllers was the successor of the Cyberstar system in early 2012.

During CEC's 5th redesign of the animatronic stage, CEC was looking for a more modern way to program and control their animatronics. The cyberstar was very outdated and was not very user friendly. The first system that was implemented was a custom version of one of Weigl's controllers called the ProCommander LTC. This controller had an intergraded video player that was made by CE labs (this is a separate company not related to CEC Entertainment), controlled Audio, Video, Lighting, and animatronic movements via LTC (Linear Time Code) and used Weigl's pro I/O adapters to be able to control older animatronics. This was a big upgrade from the cyberstar system. The ProCommander LTC was able to be controlled by Weigl's Embedded Linux Based POE touch panel and Weigl Mobile Commander smart phone app allowing staff to start shows with ease and allowed maintenance to easily put the system in diagnostic or maintenance mode.

In 2018 due to the concern of ageing hardware the ProCommander LTC's were replaced with Weigl's off the shelf controller the ProCommander VX. The ProCommander VX had all the same features in the ProCommander LTC, but was intergraded with Weigl's own video player instead. To this day, the ProCommander VX is still the controller being used in the restaurants that still have animatronics.
